Historically the farm has been well supported by the local authority (London Borough of Hackney). Over the past few years this has been reduced in line with the Councils reduced voluntary sector funding and other areas of revenue have been established. These have not only enabled the farm to meet its immediate shortfalls but established a long term sustainability future.

Room hire
Corporate meeting room

Hackney City Farm now has a refurbished meeting room available for hire for conferences seminars and training workshops. Chairs tables and flip charts etc are supplied to clients requirements.

First class catering is available from the on site Frizzante restaurant.

Recent clients have included Unilever, Cadburys,
The Kings Fund and Access to Employment.

Hackney City Farm also has a room available for children’s parties at the weekend.

Filming at the farm

The farm works with a number of film television and radio companies supplying animals and props as well as being used as a popular location venue.

Animals

Animals are available for photo and film work, including: Donkeys, Calves, Sheep, Pigs, Geese, Ducks, Chicken, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, and Hamsters.

We can also source other animals as required. The farm can provide transport, handlers (mandatory) pens, feed and the necessary DEFRA movement licenses (mandatory for sheep pigs and goats.)

Props

The farm has a large range of props available for hire including; farm Bygones, gates, hay and straw bales, tools, barrels as well as craft and children play equipment.

Locations

Situated just over a mile from Liverpool Street station the farm is used as an ideal location for film, TV and photo shoots.

A large industrial building houses meeting rooms, a dungeon-like basement and a café area. Outside the farm boasts a cobbled yard, animal barns and country paddocks. Also on site are a country cottage style garden and a small wooded area.
