There’s more to the Farm than just animals.
Get involved in building, gardening, environment, arts & crafts, business studies, and survival skills whilst getting help with Maths, English and IT.
The alternative education program at Hackney City Farm was set up to involve young people in what is a vibrant and developing community resource. Whilst giving them the opportunity to learn practical skills , consider appropriate career paths and improve employability.
Hackney City Farm has completed a successful first year with learners from the learning trust. We are always open to new students.

Hackney City Farm is one of 12 providers for the Learning Trust’s New Visions Virtual Pupil Referral Unit (NVPRU). We offer alternative provision at Key Stage 4. The providers are essentially remote departments of the NVPRU. Other providers include Hackney Quest, Inspire, Dalston Youth Project, Hackney Community College & B6 College.
At Hackney City Farm the young people participate in varied curriculum which includes numeracy, literacy, outdoor activities, creative projects, environmental projects, personal development and transition.
