Bike maintenance course

Hackney City Farm is running regular 4-week bike maintenance course. Every Thursday from 7–9pm.

Taught by an experienced and qualified mechanic you’ll learn professional puncture repair, all about brakes, gears and bearings. You’ll also be taught a bike safety check to carry out before riding.

What’s included

Bike stands, tools, and some spares are provided. Advice will be given on components if major parts need to be replaced.

Handouts covering each lesson are provided.

When

Every Thursday from 7–9pm starting on the first Thursday of the month. Upcoming dates:

  • 4 September 2008
  • 2 October 2008
  • 6 November 2008
  • Not class in December


Cost

£60 waged/£30 unwaged and payment is due on the first session. Students bring their own bikes to work on.
