Degus
We are home to three Degus – we call them the three musketeers.
These tiny rodents are normally found in Chile, where they live in the Andean Mountains. They became household pets in the 1950s when they were used in animal tests relating to diabetes. In the wild they do not survive more than a year but in captivity they can live to ten or more…our Degus have lived at the farm for four years.
